Koeosaeme creates sound-based art and installations grounded in the subtle transformations that occur within specific places and environments. His work is concept-driven and evolves through the shifting properties of material presence, atmosphere, and spatial conditions.
Koeosaeme’s work examines how specific places subtly shift through material presence, atmosphere, and changing environmental conditions. Rather than documenting a location, he reconstructs these transformations as abstract sound works, allowing places to be re-experienced through listening. His practice bridges sound art, environmental perception, and neo-avant-garde ambient abstraction.
Before developing his current artistic direction, he worked in commercial music production and joined OFFICE INTENZIO in 2004, a sound creator team led by Yukihiro Takahashi (YMO). He supported tours and recordings for Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi, and later released works through U.S. labels including Orange Milk Records and Crash Symbols.
